Christopher J. Anderson is a graduate of Wayne State University (BFA in Painting/Drawing, 2013), Detroit. His studies also include Kendall College of Art and Design (Grand Rapids) and Delta Community College (Bay City). Currently residing in Detroit, Topher maintains an active studio practice at Corktown Studios, and at his home, where he shares workspace with artist Kristina Sheufelt.
His work intends to blur the distinction between technique and expression, using both simultaneously to provide a tangible product which can be multi-faceted in interpretation.
This portfolio contains within it selected progression markers in several areas of discipline, from academic work to impulsive creation of pieces, over the course of several years of practice.
